Regular Quality Viewing

1. When I try to view the videos using Regular Quality, I am not able to see the videos.

Answer: First, make sure you have Java installed. You can get that here:

2. I used to be able to use the Java viewer, but now I cannot..

Answer: This is a result of a software upgrade. First, click the link for Java above and download the latest Java update. If you still can't view the cameras, follow these steps:

-Within your browser, look in the pull down menus for Sun Java Console (In internet explorer, this is under the Tools pull down menu.
-Select Sun Java Console
-When the Sun Java Console comes up, press the letter "x" on your keyboard. This clears your Java cache.
-Restart your browser and view the cameras

3. I am using a Mac, can I view the videos?.

Answer: Absolutely. You can use our Java based viewer with any browser that supports Java, such as Safari.

Higher Quality Viewing

In order to use the Higher Quality Viewer, you must have Windowsw and Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher.

The first time you log onto the Higher Quality Viewing, you will need to install Active X Controls called Live.cab to uncompress the video stream. Online Doggy states that this is safe to install and will not cause a damage to your machine. Follow the steps below to install these files:

1. Click here to get Live.cab
2. When prompted, click Run or Install twice
3. The first time you try to view the higher quality video, you may get a security warning in your browser saying the Active X Control Live.cab is trying to run on your computer. Click on this security warning and tell it to Allow Live.cab to run.

Windows Vista Users - One more step to the above instructions.
1. Close all Internet Explorer windows.
2. Right Click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop, and select Run as Administrator.
3. Enjoy

(Note: Some firewalls may not allow you to install software or run Active content. Please check with your network administrator to see if this is the case. If so, enjoy using the Regular Quality viewer.)
